Marco Zagato: Saint Sebastian (2010) I wanted to portray St. Sebastian as Roman soldier, who according to his faith (Christian) helped the oppressed and that he was discovered was martyred for this reason… in any case he didn’t died as a result of martyrdom (thanks to the charitable care of a woman) and before his die, he was being able to continue helping those in need, continuing to follow what he believe: this fascinates me in his history and makes me think that we are too often discriminated against for what we think (or what we believe) and not for who we are.
